Edge of Sanity - Crimson
I normally shy away from most metal that could be labeled as "progressive", but Edge of Sanity is a pretty big exception. They kinda remind me of Opeth, except they sound good. Anyway, this is my favorite album by them. It's mostly a single 40 minute track about the end of the world. How can you go wrong with that, really?
Track listing:
(this is the Japanese version of the album, apparently, which has a bonus track thrown on.)

ReplyDelete"They kinda remind me of Opeth, except they sound good."....I'm not really sure what you meant there, but I hope you're not saying Opeth doesn't sound good. Opeth is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure that PortraitOfSanity doesn't like Opeth that much. I happen to think that most of their material is fantastic, although for some reason I didn't like Ghost Reveries or Watershed much. Then again, I probably only listened to each of them a few times.
ReplyDeleteCan't stand Opeth. Sorry.
