Here we have two "Atmospheric" Black Metal bands from Europe. But no keyboards or any of that shit. Pure atmosphere from killer riffs and production. These two seemed to jump out of nowhere in the past few years and are a definite force to be reckoned with in the world of generic black metal crap going around. I would even recommend this to anyone that isn't a Black Metal fan. Good shit, man!

Suicidal Black Metal has been creating quite a stir recently within the black metal scene. It's basically one of the many offsprings of Burzum, but on the complete opposite side of NSBM. Through the Pain is yet another suicidal black metal band, and they bring hardly anything new to the table except for executing a depressive atmosphere perfectly. This is how Suicidal Black Metal should be: Relaxing, slow, worn-out screechy vocals a la Varg Vikernes, and just a feeling of despair that leaves you breathless, and sucks the happiness right out of you.

Here's an album that goes with the season. Forgotten land is a wonderful solo project by Lord Tetrarch out of Ohio and he plays an awe inspiring blend of dark ambient and black metal. Perfect for sipping on coffee and watching the leaves fall, this is truly a majestic and relaxing album. The metal elements are pretty minimal so get this if you are into ambient soundscapes.

Well this double cd is Njiqahdda's first full length release and it's also my favorite. Don't let the song lengths scare you, this music will take you to another place in your mind. It truly is a majikal masterpiece. I haven't heard anything else like this. Ever. What you will get here is over 2 hours of mesmerizing tranquil black metal soundscapes, and i promise you will become addicted to this band.
