German long-runners, Mindflair return this year after a decade off with their third full-length album to date, Scourge of Mankind. This one sticks pretty closely to their roots and is basically a 13 track amalgamation of grind, pv and crust. Dating back to 1994, these guys have had a lengthy career, albeit a pretty quiet one this last decade but that longevity reflects in their sound. With some bigger grind bands releasing albums this year, it might be easy to pass this one up. Don't..

Paramnesia - UNRU (Split)
Genre: Atmospheric Black Metal
Origin: France / Germany
Artist: Paramnesia / UNRU
Album: Split
Year: 2014
Quality: 320kbps
Here we have two "Atmospheric" Black Metal bands from Europe. But no keyboards or any of that shit. Pure atmosphere from killer riffs and production. These two seemed to jump out of nowhere in the past few years and are a definite force to be reckoned with in the world of generic black metal crap going around. I would even recommend this to anyone that isn't a Black Metal fan. Good shit, man!
I know choder would have dug this, so here you go. Rest well my friend...

A wee different from your standard goregrind, some call it grind'n'roll but that's kinda cheesy. (though I guess goregrind is by definition cheesy...) That being said, these Germans slow down the usual mile-a-minute grind pace a bit, and throw in some unusual chunkiness. Anyway, check it out!
ENJOY

Lost Life is a German project that plays intense black metal with an almost punk/grunge type of style. Sometimes they remind me of Nirvana mixed with a band like Burzum, an interesting blend, indeed. Lost Life does it really well, too. They will have quiet moments that will just explode into a ferocious onslaught. I expect a lot of good things from this great band.

I've been waiting for this release for awhile now and I'm pretty excited because their previous 3 full lengths have been awesome. Germany tops the black metal world right now and here's your chance to check out a great band. I consider Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult to be similar to a mix between Lunar Aurora and Horna.

This one man project from Germany is simply astounding! This is organic, melodic, triumphant, epic, battle weary and majestic all rolled up into one great album, Horn's latest and best to date.
I have a feeling that the next one is going to be mind blowing, too, since Nerrath seems to be totally perfecting his style. Don't pass on this one!

Heimdalls Wacht play a dreamy hynotizing blend of pagan folk and black metal. The songs sound ancient with the battle cries always in the distance. There's really a lot going on in these songs and it makes for an interesting album. I love this band, they are the saviors of black metal.
