French black metal/shoegaze. Apparently, these guys were around before Alcest's new sound, and comparing them to new Alcest is pretty unfair. They do have some parallels, but both bands are far from sounding like a clone of the other.
Highly reccomended album overall, especially if you do like the whole shoegaze sound, but even if you don't.

EDIT: Yea so Kur posted this a while ago and I didn't bother to check. If you've already got it, ignore this. If not, do what you will.
The main guy behind Amesoeurs is the same guy who is Alcest (Neige). Their "Ruines Humaines" EP I like a lot better than this album, it's good though.
ReplyDeletedunno where to find "kur"(?), so i'm getting this from here... hope you don't mind :-p
ReplyDeletehere I is!
ReplyDeletei disagee though, this is by far the best Amesoeurs material. why do they have to make their name so hard to spell?
I can spell it just fine, I just can't pronounce it.
